Lady Wolverines drop two at Baldwin-Wallace

BEREA, Ohio -- The Grove City College volleyball team (3-4) dropped a pair of matches at the Baldwin-Wallace Marcia French Memorial Tournament Friday.

Grove City fell to Kalamazoo 30-22, 30-19, 30-27 in the day's opener, then closed Friday play with a 30-23, 30-23, 30-20 loss to John Carroll.

Against Kalamazoo, senior Lisa Bodi (Springville, N.Y./Springville-Griffith Institute) collected 10 kills and 16 digs for Grove City while freshman Kelly Tinney (Ashtabula, Ohio/St. John and Paul) had seven kills. Sophomore setter Carly Denniston (Grove City, Pa./Grove City) chalked up 29 assists while junior Melissa Lawton (High Point, N.C./Wesley Christian) had 22 digs. 

Junior Kate DiMarco (Slate Hill, N.Y./Minisink Valley) had 16 digs for Grove City.

Bodi collected 11 kills and 19 digs against John Carroll while Denniston had 28 assists. Lawton racked up 18 digs.
