Unbeaten Mount Union deals Grove City 3-0 loss
GROVE CITY, Pa. -- Visiting Mount Union improved to 10-0 with a 30-12, 31-29, 30-19 win over the Grove City College volleyball team Tuesday night at the Grove City College Arena.
Junior Melissa Lawton (High Point, N.C./Wesley Christian) and freshman Kelly Tinney (Ashtabula, Ohio/St. John and Paul) each had seven kills for Grove City. Lawton added a team-high 16 digs while seniors Lisa Bodi (Springville, N.Y./Springville-Griffith) and Renee Allen (Verona, Pa./Penn Hills) both had 14 digs.
Sophomore setter Carly Denniston (Grove City, Pa./Grove City) had 29 assists while freshman Carlie Roberts (Union City, Pa./Union City) served three aces.
Grove City (3-7) will compete in the John Carroll Tournament this weekend.
