Grove City notches 1st conference win
GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College volleyball team improved to 1-1 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference with a 30-28, 26-30, 30-28, 30-17 victory over visiting Bethany (10-9, 1-2 PAC) in PAC action Tuesday night at the Grove City College Arena.
Freshman Kelly Tinney (Ashtabula, Ohio/Sts. John and Paul) racked up 16 kills while junior Kate DiMarco (Slate Hill, N.Y./Minisink Valley) posted 10 kills and 21 digs. Senior Lisa Bodi (Springville, N.Y./Springville-Griffith Institute) added eight kills for Grove City (6-14).
Senior Renee Allen (Verona, Pa./Penn Hills) collected 16 digs while sophomore setter Carly Denniston (Grove City, Pa./Grove City) distributed 41 assists.
Grove City visits conference rival Thiel Thursday night at 7 p.m. in Greenville.
