Lady Wolverines fall to Westminster in four games
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- The Grove City College volleyball team dropped a 26-30, 30-26, 36-34, 30-28 decision to host Westminster Tuesday night in Presidents' Athletic Conference action at Buzz Ridl Gymnasium.
Freshman Kelly Tinney (Ashtabula, Ohio/Sts. John and Paul) racked up 15 kills while senior Lisa Bodi (Springville, N.Y./Springville-Griffith Institute) added a dozen kills and 18 digs. Freshman Carlie Roberts (Union City, Pa./Union City) added eight kills for Grove City (6-16, 1-3 PAC)
Junior Melissa Lawton (High Point, N.C./Wesley Christian Academy) had 28 digs while senior Pam Herr (Wellsboro, Pa./Wellsboro) collected a career-high 20 digs. Sophomore Robbie Long (Chagrin Falls, Ohio/Chagrin Falls) served four aces.
Grove City visits Division II Slippery Rock Thursday night at 7 p.m.
