Waynesburg sweeps Lady Wolverines
WAYNESBURG, Pa. -- The Grove City College volleyball team dropped a 30-28, 30-25, 30-20 decision to Presidents' Athletic Conference rival Waynesburg (21-4, 7-0) Tuesday night at Rudy Marisa Field House.
Freshman Kelly Tinney (Ashtabula, Ohio/Sts. John and Paul) led Grove City (7-19, 2-4) with seven kills while junior Rachel Peterson (Bartlett, Tenn./Bartlett) had six kills. Senior Lisa Bodi (Springville, N.Y./Springville-Griffith) collected a dozen digs while junior Melissa Lawton (High Point, N.C./Wesley Christian Academy) added 11.
Also for Grove City, sophomore Carly Denniston (Grove City, Pa./Grove City) had 17 assists while freshman Carlie Roberts (Union City, Pa./Union City) registered four blocks.
Grove City visits Bethany Thursday night in the road finale.
