Westminster sweeps Grove City in PAC action
GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College volleyball team fell to 9-20 overall, 4-5 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference, with a 30-21, 30-27, 30-27 loss to visiting Westminster Thursday night at the Grove City College Arena.
Senior Lisa Bodi (Springville, N.Y./Springville-Griffith Institute) led Grove City with 13 kills while freshman Kelly Tinney (Ashtabula, Ohio/Sts. John and Paul) had a dozen kills. Sophomore setter Carly Denniston (Grove City, Pa./Grove City) had 38 assists while senior Pam Herr (Wellsboro, Pa./Wellsboro) collected 23 digs.
Junior Melissa Lawton (High Point, N.C./Wesley Christian Academy) added 15 digs.
Grove City closes the regular season next Tuesday night against Washington and Jefferson. It is Senior Night for seniors Renee Allen (Verona, Pa./Penn Hills), Bodi and Herr.
