Westminster hands Grove City first home loss

GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College volleyball team fell to 9-13 overall and 2-3 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference Friday night with a 30-21, 30-23, 24-30, 30-27 loss to visiting Westminster (14-10, 4-1 PAC) at the Grove City College Arena. It is Grove City's first loss in five matches at The Arena this season.

Sophomore Kelly Tinney (Ashtabula, Ohio/Sts. John and Paul) led the Wolverines with 20 kills while freshman setter Kim Walsh (Beaver, Pa./Beaver) dished out 47 assists.

Seniors Kate DiMarco (Slate Hill, N.Y./Minisink Valley) and Melissa Lawton (High Point, N.C./Wesley Christian) had 27 and 25 digs, respectively. Sophomore Carlie Roberts (Union City, Pa./Union City) had five blocks.

Grove City visits PAC rival Thiel Tuesday night at 7 p.m.
