Wolverines snap Waynesburg's streak

GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College volleyball team snapped Waynesburg's 18-match Presidents' Athletic Conference winning streak Thursday night with a 31-29, 30-26, 27-30, 30-25 victory over the visiting Yellow Jackets (12-12, 6-1 PAC) at the Grove City College Arena.

Sophomore Carlie Roberts (Union City, Pa./Union City) led Grove City (11-13, 4-3 PAC) with 17 kills while sophomore Kelly Tinney (Ashtabula, Ohio/Sts. John and Paul) added 13. Senior Kate DiMarco (Slate Hill, N.Y./Minisink Valley) chipped in 12 kills.

DiMarco and senior Melissa Lawton (High Point, N.C./Wesley Christian) both had 21 digs while sophomore Emily Rossol (Waterville, Ohio/Toledo Christian) contributed 16 digs. Freshman setter Kim Walsh (Beaver, Pa./Beaver) distributed 45 assists.

Roberts led Grove City with six blocks while Tinney added three blocks.

Grove City visits Bethany Tuesday night in PAC action.
