Grove City holds off Bethany in PAC quarterfinals

WAYNESBURG, Pa. -- The Grove City College volleyball team advanced to the Presidents' Athletic Conference tournament semifinals with a 30-24, 24-30, 26-30, 30-27, 15-12 victory over fifth-seeded Bethany Friday night at Waynesburg College's Rudy Marisa Field House.

The No. 4 seed Wolverines (14-15) will now face top-seeded Waynesburg in Saturday's semifinals at 10 a.m.

Sophomore Kelly Tinney (Ashtabula, Ohio/Sts. John and Paul) led Grove City with 20 kills while freshman setter Kim Walsh (Beaver, Pa./Beaver) distributed 53 assists. Senior Kate DiMarco (Slate Hill, N.Y./Minisink Valley) collected 15 digs while sophomore Carlie Roberts (Union City, Pa./Union City) had six blocks.
