Waynesburg eliminates Grove City
WAYNESBURG, Pa. -- Host Waynesburg eliminated Grove City from the 2004 Presidents' Athletic Conference Volleyball Championship Tournament Saturday morning with a 30-21, 30-22, 30-20 semifinal victory over the Wolverines at the Rudy Marisa Field House.
Senior Rachel Peterson (Bartlett, Tenn./Bartlett) and sophomore Carlie Roberts (Union City, Pa./Union City) each had six kills for the fourth-seeded Wolverines (14-16) while freshman setter Kim Walsh (Beaver, Pa./Beaver) had 18 assists and 11 digs. Senior Melissa Lawton (High Point, N.C./Wesley Christian) added eight digs while Roberts recorded four blocks.
