Grove City rolls past Penn State Behrend

ERIE, Pa. -- The Grove City College volleyball team improved to 8-10 overall with a 30-22, 30-27, 26-30, 30-17 victory over host Penn State Behrend Thursday night at the Junker Center.

Junior Carlie Roberts (Union City, Pa./Union City) posted a season-high 23 kills while sophomore Brittany Anderson (Chagrin Falls, Ohio/Chagrin Falls) and freshman Natalie Liberati (Bethel Park, Pa./Bethel Park) each had 11 kills. Anderson added five blocks.

Sophomore setter Kim Walsh (Beaver, Pa./Beaver) recorded 54 assists and a dozen digs while sophomore Jennifer Plyler (Guys Mills, Pa./Maplewood) had 22 digs. Junior Emily Rossol (Waterville, Ohio/Toledo Christian) had 17 digs while sophomore Brooke Mincey (Grove City, Pa./Grove City) added 12 digs. Sophomore Heather Fraiz (Carmel, Ind./Brebeuf Jesuit) contributed 11 digs.

Grove City will return to Presidents' Athletic Conference play next Wednesday night against visiting Bethany.
