Grove City sweeps Bethany

GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College volleyball team improved to 9-10 overall and 1-2 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference with a 30-21, 30-10, 30-24 sweep of visiting Bethany (7-11, 0-3 PAC) Wednesday night in the Grove City College Arena.

Junior Carlie Roberts (Union City, Pa./Union City) led Grove City with a 17-kill, 8-block effort while freshman Natalie Liberati (Bethel Park, Pa./Bethel Park) added eight kills.

Sophomore setter Kim Walsh (Beaver, Pa./Beaver) recorded 40 assists while junior libero Emily Rossol (Waterville, Ohio/Toledo Christian) had 23 digs and three serving aces. Sophomore Heather Fraiz (Carmel, Ind./Brebeuf Jesuit) added a dozen digs.

In the second game, Grove City jumped out to a 15-0 lead en route to a 30-10 victory. Grove City will visit Thiel Friday night in PAC action.
