Grove City sweeps Thiel for 3rd straight win

GREENVILLE, Pa. -- The Grove City College volleyball team improved to 10-10 overall and 2-2 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference Friday night with a 30-25, 30-16, 30-15 victory over host Thiel at Rissell-Beeghley Gymnasia. It is Grove City's third straight victory.

Junior Carlie Roberts (Union City, Pa./Union City) recorded a team-high dozen kills while freshman Natalie Liberati (Bethel Park, Pa./Bethel Park) added 10 kills on just 15 total attacks. Sophomore setter Kim Walsh (Beaver, Pa./Beaver) tallied 40 assists while junior Emily Rossol (Waterville, Ohio/Toledo Christian) posted 22 digs.

Sophomore Heather Fraiz (Carmel, Ind./Brebeuf Christian) added 15 digs while sophomore Jennifer Plyler (Guys Mills, Pa./Maplewood) had 11 digs, along with seven kills. Junior Allison Cummings (Zelienople, Pa./Seneca Valley) recorded a team-high four blocks.

Grove City will host Westminster in a PAC match Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m.
