Grove City rallies past Westminster

GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College volleyball team improved to 11-10 overall and 3-2 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference Tuesday night with a come-from-behind 27-30, 26-30, 30-28, 30-28, 15-12 win over Westminster (13-11, 2-3 PAC) at the Grove City College Arena.

It is Grove City's first win over Westminster since 1995. It is also Grove City's fourth consecutive victory as well as the Wolverines' first five-game victory this year.

Freshman Natalie Liberati (Bethel Park, Pa./Bethel Park) posted a career-high 19 kills to help lead Grove City while junior Carlie Roberts (Union City, Pa./Union City) added 13 kills and nine blocks. Sophomore setter Kim Walsh (Beaver, Pa./Beaver) distributed 52 assists.

Junior libero Emily Rossol (Waterville, Ohio/Toledo Christian) recorded 20 digs while sophomore Brooke Mincey (Grove City, Pa./Grove City) added 16 digs. Sophomore Brittany Anderson (Chagrin Falls, Ohio/Chagrin Falls) tallied five blocks.

Grove City will visit Washington and Jefferson Thursday night in PAC action.
