Presidents stop Grove City win streak

WASHINGTON, Pa. -- The Grove City College volleyball team fell to 11-11 overall and 3-3 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference Thursday night with a 30-23, 30-15, 30-27 loss to host Washington and Jefferson at the Henry Memorial Center. The defeat snaps the Wolverines' four-match win streak.

Sophomore Jennifer Plyler (Guys Mills, Pa./Maplewood) led Grove City with eight kills while sophomore Brittany Anderson (Chagrin Falls, Ohio/Chagrin Falls) had six kills. Sophomore setter Kim Walsh (Beaver, Pa./Beaver) had 21 assists while junior Emily Rossol (Waterville, Ohio/Toledo Christian) recorded 14 digs.

Grove City will visit Lake Erie Saturday afternoon in a non-conference tri-match. Grove City will play Lake Erie at 1 p.m. before playing La Roche at 3 p.m.
