Waynesburg tops Grove City

GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College volleyball team dropped a 30-26, 38-36, 33-31 decision to visiting Waynesburg (14-12, 7-1 PAC) Tuesday night in Presidents' Athletic Conference action at the Grove City College Arena.

Freshman Natalie Liberati (Bethel Park, Pa./Bethel Park) posted a career-high 20 kills for Grove City while junior Carlie Roberts (Union City, Pa./Union City) recorded 14 kills. Sophomore setter Kim Walsh (Beaver, Pa./Beaver) recorded 48 assists.

Junior Emily Rossol (Waterville, Ohio/Toledo Christian) had 15 digs while Walsh added 13 digs. Liberati had three blocks.

The second game represents the highest-scoring game in Grove City history. The previous high-scoring mark came at Westminster Oct. 7, 2003 as Grove City dropped a 36-34 decision in the third game of that match.

Grove City (13-12, 3-4 PAC) will visit Bethany Thursday night at 6:30 in PAC action.
