Wolverines sweep Thiel
GROVE CITY, Pa. -- Three Grove City players posted double-digit kill total Friday night, helping lead the Wolverines (13-6, 4-1 PAC) to a 30-26, 30-24, 30-19 sweep of visiting Thiel in a Presidents' Athletic Conference volleyball match in the Grove City College Arena.
Senior Carlie Roberts (Union City, Pa./Union City) and junior Kate Skinner (Bay Village, Ohio/Christian Community) each posted 11 kills for Grove City. Sophomore Natalie Liberati (Bethel Park, Pa./Bethel Park) added 10 kills. Junior setter Kim Walsh (Beaver, Pa./Beaver) dished out 36 assists.
Defensively, senior Emily Rossol (Waterville, Ohio/Toledo Christian) led Grove City with 17 digs. Roberts recorded three blocks.
Grove City will host Pitt-Greensburg and Lake Erie Saturday. The Wolverines will play Pitt-Greensburg at 11 a.m. and Lake Erie at 3 p.m.
