Waynesburg nips Grove City

WAYNESBURG, Pa. -- The Grove City College volleyball team fell to 15-7 overall and 4-2 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference Tuesday night after dropping a 28-30, 30-25, 30-24, 22-30, 15-9 decision to host Waynesburg at the Rudy Marisa Field House.

Junior Heather Fraiz (Carmel, Ind./Brebeuf Jesuit) led Grove City with 20 kills while senior Carlie Roberts (Union City, Pa./Union City) posted 15 kills. Junior Kate Skinner (Bay Village, Ohio/Christian Community) added 14 kills for the Wolverines.

Junior Kim Walsh (Beaver, Pa./Beaver) set 58 assists while sophomore Meghan Glenn (Clarion, Pa./Clarion) served five aces.

Defensively, senior libero Emily Rossol (Waterville, Ohio/Toledo Christian) recorded 22 digs while junior Brooke Mincey (Grove City, Pa./Grove City) added 17 digs. Fraiz also contributed 16 digs. Sophomore Natalie Liberati (Bethel Park, Pa./Bethel Park) tallied five blocks.

Grove City will visit Bethany Thursday night in PAC action at 6:30 p.m.
