Grove City splits at Thomas More

CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. -- The Grove City College volleyball team is now 19-9 overall after splitting a pair of matches at Thomas More College Saturday morning. The Wolverines dropped a 30-27, 30-25, 29-31, 30-17 decision to host Thomas More in Presidents' Athletic Conference action. However, Grove City bounced back for a 30-24, 30-25, 21-30, 30-13 victory over Case Western Reserve.

Senior Carlie Roberts (Union City, Pa./Union City) paced Grove City (7-3 PAC) with 18 kills against Thomas More while sophomore Natalie Liberati (Bethel Park, Pa./Bethel Park) contributed a dozen kills. Junior Heather Fraiz (Carmel, Ind./Brebeuf Jesuit) added 11 kills. Junior setter Kim Walsh (Beaver, Pa./Beaver) distributed 44 assists.

Defensively, senior libero Emily Rossol (Waterville, Ohio/Toledo Christian) led Grove City with 27 digs while Liberati had three blocks.

Roberts posted 15 kills against Case Western Reserve while Fraiz added a dozen kills. Junior Kate Skinner (Bay Village, Ohio/Christian Community) also reached double-digits with 11 kills. Walsh had 44 assists and three service aces.

Rossol led the Wolverines with 17 digs while Fraiz, junior Brooke Mincey (Grove City, Pa./Grove City) and Walsh all had 12 digs. Liberati had five blocks.

Grove City will host Westminster (7-2 PAC) Tuesday night in PAC action at 6:30 p.m.
