Wolverines now 6-0

ERIE, Pa. -- The Grove City College volleyball team is 6-0 for the first time since 1985 after the Wolverines earned a pair of victories Friday night at the Penn State Behrend Invitational. Grove City opened play with a 30-13, 30-14, 30-27 sweep of Medaille. Grove City then swept host Penn State Behrend in the nightcap, 30-19, 30-24, 30-20.

Junior Natalie Liberati (Bethel Park, Pa./Bethel Park) recorded 13 kills against Medaille while senior setter Kim Walsh (Beaver, Pa./Beaver) distributed 33 assists. Senior Kate Skinner (Avon Lake, Ohio/Christian Community) served four aces while senior Brooke Mincey (Grove City, Pa./Grove City) tallied 10 digs.

Skinner recorded a team-leading 12 kills in the victory over Penn State Behrend. Senior Jennifer Plyler (Guys Mills, Pa./Maplewood) added 11 kills and a team-high 25 digs while Liberati contributed eight kills. Walsh chalked up 32 assists and 13 digs while Mincey had 15 digs. Skinner also chipped in with 10 digs.

Grove City will face Fredonia State Saturday afternoon at 12 p.m. The Wolverines will then play D'Youville at 2 p.m.
