Grove City falls to Saint Vincent

GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College volleyball team dropped a 30-27, 30-24, 30-22 decision to visiting Saint Vincent Tuesday night in the Grove City College Arena. Grove City is now 8-1 while Saint Vincent is 7-3.

Junior Natalie Liberati (Bethel Park, Pa./Bethel Park) led Grove City with 13 kills while senior Jen Plyler (Guys Mills, Pa./Maplewood) added 10 kills. Senior Kim Walsh (Beaver, Pa./Beaver) tallied 36 assists while senior Kate Skinner (Avon Lake, Ohio/Christian Community) served three aces.

Senior Brooke Mincey (Grove City, Pa./Grove City) recorded 14 digs while Skinner had 10 digs.

Saint Vincent is a member of the Presidents' Athletic Conference but because of their provisional NCAA Division III status, the Bearcats are ineligible for the PAC title. Matches against Saint Vincent do not count in PAC standings.

Grove City opens PAC play Saturday with a tri-match at Waynesburg. Grove City will play Waynesburg at 11 a.m., followed by a neutral-site match against conference foe Bethany at 1 p.m.
