Grove City falls to 7-4 in PAC
GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College volleyball team dropped to 17-9 overall and 7-4 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference Saturday afternoon with a 30-25, 30-14, 30-25 home setback against Westminster in a PAC match at the Grove City College Arena.
Freshman Jodi Barry (Bridgeville, Pa./South Fayette) matched a career high with 10 kills Saturday while senior Jen Plyler (Guys Mills, Pa./Maplewood) added nine kills. Senior setter Kim Walsh (Beaver, Pa./Beaver) distributed 32 assists.
Defensively, Plyler, Walsh and senior Brooke Mincey (Grove City, Pa./Grove City) all had 17 digs. Junior Meghan Glenn (Clarion, Pa./Clarion) recorded 11 digs.
Grove City also held "Volley for the Cure" in conjunction with Saturday's match. "Volley for the Cure" is a program designed to raise awareness and funds for the Susan G. Komen Foundation, a breast cancer awareness organization.
Grove City will visit Thomas More Tuesday night in PAC action at 6 p.m.
