Wolverines earn 3-1 win over Waynesburg

GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College volleyball team raised its record to 18-10 overall Thursday night by pulling out a 30-15, 30-27, 29-31, 31-29 victory over visiting Waynesburg in a Presidents' Athletic Conference match at the Grove City College Arena. Grove City (8-5 PAC) trailed 29-24 in the fourth game but scored the final seven points of the match to earn the victory.

Junior Natalie Liberati (Bethel Park, Pa./Bethel Park) led Grove City with 15 kills and eight blocks while senior Jennifer Plyler (Guys Mills, Pa./Maplewood) recorded 14 kills. Senior Kate Skinner (Avon Lake, Ohio/Christian Community) added 13 kills.

Senior setter Kim Walsh (Beaver, Pa./Beaver) distributed 52 assists, which moves her past the 4,200-assist mark for her career. Walsh has 4,226 career assists and now needs 63 to pass Cara Denniston (1999-2002) for first all-time in Grove City history.

Senior Brooke Mincey (Grove City, Pa./Grove City) led Grove City with 20 digs while Plyler, Skinner and Walsh all had 17 digs. Senior Brittany Anderson (Chagrin Falls, Ohio/Chagrin Falls) contributed four blocks.

Grove City will host Geneva Saturday night at 6 p.m.
