Thiel downs Wolverines
GREENVILLE, Pa. -- The Grove City College volleyball team dropped a 25-15, 27-25, 25-20 decision to host Thiel Tuesday night in Presidents' Athletic Conference action at Rissell-Beeghly Gymnasia.
Senior Natalie Liberati (Bethel Park, Pa./Bethel Park) paced Grove City with eight kills while sophomores Becky Chapa (Westford, Mass./Westford Academy) and Inge Rasmussen (Darnestown, Md./Poolesville) both had seven kills. Freshman setter Annie Barry (Bridgeville, Pa./South Fayette) recorded 25 assists.
Defensively, sophomore libero Kim Budd (Hubbard, Ohio/Hubbard) tallied 15 digs while Liberati collected 13 digs. Sophomore Jodi Barry (Bridgeville, Pa./South Fayette) collected 11 digs while Chapa and Annie Barry both had 10.
Grove City (5-12, 0-3 PAC) will visit Chatham Saturday for a PAC tri-match. The Wolverines will face Bethany and Chatham in Pittsburgh.
