Geneva clips Grove City

BEAVER FALLS, Pa. -- The Grove City College volleyball team dropped a 25-18, 25-16, 28-26 decision to host Geneva Tuesday night in a clash of Presidents' Athletic Conference members at Metheny Field House.

Senior Natalie Liberati (Bethel Park, Pa./Bethel Park) led Grove City with 10 kills while sophomore Jodi Barry (Bridgeville, Pa./South Fayette) and freshman Anna McCurdy (Guys Mills, Pa./Maplewood) each had five kills. Freshman setter Annie Barry (Bridgeville, Pa./South Fayette) distributed 24 assists.

Defensively, sophomore Inge Rasmussen (Darnestown, Md./Poolesville) accumulated a team-leading 17 digs while sophomore libero Kim Budd (Hubbard, Ohio/Hubbard) added 16 digs. Sophomore Becky Chapa (Westford, Mass./Westford Academy) contributed 11 digs.

The third set score matches Grove City's longest set of the season. The Wolverines earned a 28-26 win over Wooster in game four of their match August 30 in Marietta, Ohio/

Grove City visits Waynesburg Thursday night in PAC action.
