Grove City falls on road
WAYNESBURG, Pa. -- The Grove City College volleyball team fell to 2-4 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference Thursday night with a 25-17, 25-22, 25-22 setback against host Waynesburg in a PAC match at the Rudy Marisa Field House.
Senior Natalie Liberati (Bethel Park, Pa./Bethel Park) paced Grove City (7-14 overall) with nine kills while sophomores Jodi Barry (Bridgeville, Pa./South Fayette) and Inge Rasmussen (Darnestown, Md./Poolesville) both collected seven kills. Freshman setter Annie Barry (Bridgeville, Pa./South Fayette) distributed 31 assists.
Liberati recorded a team-high 10 digs while Annie Barry added nine digs. Rasmussed posted three blocks.
Waynesburg (6-10, 2-4 PAC) completed a season sweep of the Wolverines with the win.
Grove City will visit Westminster Saturday for a PAC tri-match. The Wolverines face Westminster at 11 a.m., then play Thiel at 1 p.m. at Memorial Field House.
