Wolverines drop tri-match

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- The Grove City College volleyball team dropped a pair of Presidents' Athletic Conference matches at Westminster College's Memorial Field House Saturday afternoon. Grove City opened the day with a 25-15, 25-16, 25-10 setback against host Westminster. In Saturday's second match, Thiel handed Grove City a 25-20, 25-16, 25-17 defeat.

Senior Natalie Liberati (Bethel Park, Pa./Bethel Park) paced Grove City with eight kills while sophomore Inge Rasmussen (Darnestown, Md./Poolesville) added five kills. Freshman Annie Barry (Bridgeville, Pa./South Fayette) distributed 19 assists.

Sophomore Kim Budd (Hubbard, Ohio/Hubbard) posted 15 digs while sophomore Jodi Barry (Bridgeville, Pa./South Fayette) had 10 digs. Jodi Barry and Liberati each had two blocks.

Liberati recorded a dozen kills against Thiel while freshman Anna McCurdy (Guys Mills, Pa./Maplewood) recorded six kills. Annie Barry distributed 26 assists. Budd had 18 digs while Liberati recorded 13 digs. Liberati also tallied three blocks.

Grove City will host Geneva Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m.
