Geneva tops Grove City
BEAVER FALLS, Pa. -- The Grove City College volleyball team dropped a 25-18, 25-21, 25-14 decision to host Geneva Wednesday night in a matchup of Presidents' Athletic Conference members at Metheny Field House.
Sophomore Anna McCurdy (Guys Mills, Pa./Maplewood) paced Grove City (1-4) with eight kills while junior Inge Rasmussen (Darnestown, Md./Poolesville) added seven kills. Sophomore setter Annie Barry (Bridgeville, Pa./South Fayette) distributed 25 assists.
Junior Kim Budd (Hubbard, Ohio/Hubbard) collected 14 digs while McCurdy and Rasmussen each had nine digs.
Grove City will compete in the Penn State Behrend Tournament Friday night and Saturday afternoon.
