Grove City drops pair

GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College volleyball team dropped both ends of a home tri-match Saturday in the Grove City College Arena. The Wolverines (6-15) opened play with a 25-17, 25-21, 25-13 setback against Roberts Wesleyan. Grove City then fell to Geneva in three sets, 25-11, 25-11 and 25-19.

Sophomore Anna McCurdy (Guys Mills, Pa./Maplewood) recorded a team-high nine kills against Roberts Wesleyan while sophomore setter Annie Barry (Bridgeville, Pa./South Fayette) tallied 19 assists.

Defensively, junior libero Kim Budd (Hubbard, Ohio/Hubbard) recorded 23 digs. Junior Jodi Barry (Bridgeville, Pa./South Fayette) added 10 digs for Grove City.

Jodi Barry paced the Wolverines with seven kills against Geneva while McCurdy contributed six kills. Annie Barry totaled 16 assists.

Budd posted 18 digs while Jodi Barry finished with 11 digs.

Grove City will visit Presidents' Athletic Conference foe Waynesburg Thursday night.
