Waynesburg edges Grove City
WAYNESBURG, Pa. -- The Grove City College volleyball team dropped a 13-25, 22-25, 25-20, 25-13, 16-14 decision to host Waynesburg Thursday night in a Presidents' Athletic Conference match at the Rudy Marisa Field House.
Sophomore Anna McCurdy (Guys Mills, Pa./Maplewood) led Grove City with 16 kills while junior Jodi Barry (Bridgeville, Pa./South Fayette) collected 11 kills. Junior Inge Rasmussen (Darnestown, Md./Poolesville) contributed nine kills for the Wolverines.
Sophomore setter Annie Barry (Bridgeville, Pa./South Fayette) distributed 37 assists. Junior Kim Budd (Hubbard, Ohio/Hubbard) served three aces.
Rasmussen racked up 24 digs while McCurdy had 23 digs defensively. Jodi Barry posted three blocks.
Grove City (6-16, 3-5 PAC) will host Chatham Saturday at 11 a.m. in conference action at the Grove City College Arena.
