Grove City drops conference clash
GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College volleyball team dropped a 25-20, 25-17, 25-23 verdict to visiting Westminster Tuesday night in a Presidents' Athletic Conference match in the Grove City College Arena.
Sophomore Anna McCurdy (Guys Mills, Pa./Maplewood) recorded nine kills for Grove City (7-17, 4-6 PAC) while junior Inge Rasmussen (Darnestown, Md./Poolesville) and sophomore Mary Masincup (Churchville, Va./Grace Christian) each had five kills. Sophomore setter Annie Barry (Bridgeville, Pa./South Fayette) distributed 24 assists. Rasmussen served three aces, giving her a team-leading 29 for the season.
Junior libero Kim Budd (Hubbard, Ohio/Hubbard) paced the Wolverine defense with 21 digs while Barry added 13 digs. McCurdy and Rasmussen both had three blocks.
Westminster improved to 10-18 overall and 9-3 in the conference.
Grove City will visit Washington & Jefferson Thursday night in PAC action at 7 p.m.
