W&J tops Grove City
WASHINGTON, Pa. -- The Grove City College volleyball team dropped a 25-21, 25-16, 25-13 decision to host Washington & Jefferson Thursday night in a Presidents' Athletic Conference match at the Henry Memorial Center.
Sophomore Anna McCurdy (Guys Mills, Pa./Maplewood) paced Grove City with nine kills while sophomore setter Annie Barry (Bridgeville, Pa./South Fayette) had 19 assists.
Junior libero Kim Budd (Hubbard, Ohio/Hubbard) recorded 16 digs to lead the Wolverine defense while junior Inge Rasmussen (Darnestown, Md./Poolesville) contributed 12 digs.
Grove City (7-18, 4-7 PAC) will visit Thomas More Saturday in PAC play. That match begins at 1 p.m. Grove City will then play Rose-Hulman at 3 p.m.
