Grove City drops two

CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. -- The Grove City College volleyball team dropped a pair of matches Saturday afternoon at Thomas More College's Connor Convocation Center. The Wolverines opened play with a 25-19, 25-10, 25-15 setback against Presidents' Athletic Conference foe Thomas More. Grove City then fell to Rose-Hulman Institute in four sets, 25-13, 22-25, 25-22, 26-24.

Sophomore Anna McCurdy (Guys Mills, Pa./Maplewood) racked up 13 kills against Rose-Hulman while junior Inge Rasmussen (Darnestown, Md./Poolesville) posted a dozen kills. Sophomore setter Rebecca Yuhas (Tucson, Ariz./Pusch Ridge Christian) recorded a career-high 34 assists. McCurdy also served four aces.

Defensively, Rasmussen collected 19 digs while sophomore Mary Masincup (Churchville, Va./Grace Christian) added 13 digs.

McCurdy had five kills against Thomas More while sophomore Annie Barry (Bridgeville, Pa./South Fayette) had 14 assists. McCurdy led Grove City defensively with 10 digs.

Grove City (7-20, 4-8 PAC) will visit Thiel Tuesday at 7 p.m. in conference action.
