Thiel tops Grove City
GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College volleyball team dropped a 25-14, 25-22, 25-13 decision to visiting Thiel (8-8, 4-2) Thursday night in Presidents' Athletic Conference action at the Grove City College Arena.
Sophomore Elisabeth Willits (Hatfield, Pa./North Penn) led the Wolverines (4-11, 1-4 PAC) with five kills. Freshman setter Casey Schmidt (Woodbine, Md./Glenelg) recorded 15 assists.
Willits and freshman Ashley Branch (Colorado Springs, Colo./Evangelical Christian) led the Grove City defense with four blocks each. Willits and freshman Taylor Gerent (Westlake, Ohio/Christian Community) both had nine digs.
Grove City will visit Washington & Jefferson Saturday afternoon for a conference tri-match. Grove City plays W&J at noon and will then face Chatham at 2 p.m.
