Thomas More tops Grove City
GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College volleyball team dropped a 25-19, 25-8, 25-20 decision to visiting Thomas More (14-7, 7-0) Thursday night in Presidents' Athletic Conference action at the Grove City College Arena.
Sophomore Elisabeth Willits (Hatfield, Pa./North Penn) paced Grove City (5-13, 2-6 PAC) with nine kills and freshman Taylor Gerent (Westlake, Ohio/Christian Community) posted six kills. Freshman setter Casey Schmidt (Woodbine, Md./Glenelg) recorded 23 assists. Freshman Tara Skinner (Avon Lake, Ohio/Christian Community) served two aces.
Defensively, senior Kim Budd (Hubbard, Ohio/Hubbard) led Grove City with 15 digs. Skinner added eight digs.
Grove City will host Roberts Wesleyan Saturday at 10 a.m. in non-conference action.
