Grove City falls at Behrend
ERIE, Pa. -- The Grove City College volleyball team dropped a 25-14, 25-13, 25-21 decision to host Penn State Behrend Wednesday night in non-conference action at the Junker Centre.
Sophomore Taylor Gerent (Westlake, Ohio/Christian Community) led Grove City (3-2) with six kills. Sophomore setter Casey Schmidt (Woodbine, Md./Glenelg) recorded 19 assists.
Defensively, sophomore Tara Skinner (Avon Lake, Ohio/Christian Community) tallied 13 digs while senior Heather Good (Punxsutawney, Pa./Punxsutawney) recorded 12 digs. Schmidt added 10 digs.
Grove City will open Presidents' Athletic Conference play Saturday with a tri-match against Geneva and Waynesburg at 11 a.m. in Beaver Falls, Pa.
