Thiel tops Wolverines
GREENVILLE, Pa. -- The Grove City College volleyball team dropped a 25-14, 25-14, 25-23 decision at Thiel Tuesday night in Presidents' Athletic Conference action at Rissell-Beeghly Gymnasia.
Senior Elisabeth Willits (Hatfield, Pa./North Penn) and junior Tierza Rangel (Houghton, N.Y./Fillmore Central) both posted seven kills for Grove City (12-13, 6-8 PAC). Sophomore Amy Collins (Landenberg, Pa./Lancaster Mennonite) distributed 14 assists.
Defensively, junior libero Tara Skinner (Avon Lake, Ohio/Christian Community) recorded 12 digs. Sophomore Frances Trenta (Hartville, Ohio/Lake) added eight digs. Junior Ashley Branch (Colorado Springs, Colo./Evangelical Christian) posted three blocks.
Grove City will visit Thomas More Thursday evening at 7 p.m. in conference action.
