Grove City falls on road

CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. -- The Grove City College volleyball team dropped a 25-19, 25-18, 25-22 decision at Thomas More Thursday night in Presidents' Athletic Conference action at the Connor Convocation Center.

Junior Shelby Mander (Dade City, Fla./Pasco) led Grove City (12-14, 6-9 PAC) with eight kills and junior Ashley Branch (Colorado Springs, Colo./Evangelical Christian) added six kills. Sophomore setter Amy Collins (Landenberg, Pa./Lancaster Mennonite) recorded 11 assists and freshman setter Amy Trageser (Marriottsville, Md./Chapelgate Christian) added 10 assists.

Brach posted six blocks while junior Tierza Rangel (Houghton, N.Y./Fillmore Central) and sophomore Dalaney Algiere (Grasonville, Md./Kent Island) both had four blocks. Junior Tara Skinner (Avon Lake, Ohio/Christian Community) tallied 13 digs and senior Elisabeth Willits (Hatfield, Pa./North Penn) collected a dozen digs.

Thomas More improved to 20-4 overall and 13-0 in the conference.

Grove City will host conference rival Westminster Saturday night at 7:30 p.m.
