Westminster slips past Grove City

GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College volleyball team dropped a 22-25, 25-23, 25-20, 25-16 decision to visiting Westminster (21-8, 11-5) Saturday night in Presidents' Athletic Conference action at the Grove City College Arena.

Senior Elisabeth Willits (Hatfield, Pa./North Penn) and junior Tierza Rangel (Houghton, N.Y./Fillmore Central) each led the Wolverines (12-15, 6-10 PAC) with 15 kills apiece.

Sophomore setter Amy Collins (Landenbeg, Pa./Lancaster Mennonite) posted 23 assists and freshman setter Amy Trageser (Marriottsville, Md./Chapelgate Christian) added 13 assists.

Defensively, junior libero Tara Skinner (Avon Lake, Ohio/Christian Community) led Grove City with 29 digs while sophomore Frances Trenta (Hartville, Ohio/Lake) recorded 18 digs. Willits added 14 digs and Collins contributed 10 digs.

Sophomore Dalaney Algiere (Grasonville, Md./Kent Island) tallied a team-high six blocks and freshman Natalija Galens (Covert, Mich./Grace Christian) added four blocks.

Grove City will visit Waynesburg Tuesday night in conference action at 6:30 p.m.
