Grove City blanks Waynesburg
WAYNESBURG, Pa. -- The Grove City College volleyball closed the road portion of the 2012 regular season schedule Tuesday night by picking up a 25-15, 25-16, 25-19 over Waynesburg at Rudy Marisa Field House.
Senior Elisabeth Willits (Hatfield, Pa./North Penn) led Grove City (13-15, 7-10 PAC) with nine kills and junior Tierza Rangel (Houghton, N.Y./Fillmore Central) added seven kills. Freshman setter Amy Trageser (Marriottsville, Md./Chapelgate Christian) had a team-high 15 assists and sophomore setter Amy Collins (Landenberg, Pa./Lancaster Mennonite) contributed 13 assists.
Junior libero Tara Skinner (Avon Lake, Ohio/Christian Community) led the defense with 11 digs and junior Ashley Branch (Colorado Springs, Colo./Evangelical Christian) posted four blocks.
Grove City concludes the regular season Saturday with a home tri-match against Geneva and Allegheny. The tri-match begins at 11 a.m.
