Geneva tops Grove City
GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College volleyball team dropped a 25-15, 25-13, 25-20 decision to visiting Geneva Tuesday night in Presidents' Athletic Conference action at the Grove City College Arena.
Senior Tierza Rangel (Houghton, N.Y./Fillmore Central) led Grove City (12-9, 6-5 PAC) with nine kills and classmate Ashley Branch (Colorado Springs, Colo./Evangelical Christian) added five kills.
Junior setter Amy Collins (Landenberg, Pa./Lancaster Mennonite) recorded 15 assists while sophomore Amy Trageser (Marriottsville, Md./Chapelgate Christian) posted seven assists.
Senior Tara Skinner (Avon Lake, Ohio/Christian Community) led the defense with a dozen digs.
Geneva improved to 16-9 overall and 10-2 in the league.
Grove City will visit Westminster Thursday at 5 p.m. for a conference match. The Wolverines will then face Franciscan at 7 p.m.
