Five straight for Grove City

GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College volleyball extended its winning streak to five Tuesday night by rallying for a 15-25, 25-22, 25-21, 25-20 victory over visiting Allegheny (10-3) in a non-conference match at the Grove City College Arena.

Junior Natalija Galens (Covert, Mich./Grace Christian) paced Grove City with 16 kills and freshman Jamie Robatisin (Wexford, Pa./North Allegheny) added a dozen kills in the win. Junior Stephanie Althausen (Asheville, N.C./Asheville Christian) collected nine kills while junior setter Amy Trageser (Marriottsville, Md./Chapelgate Christian) distributed 43 assists.

Senior libero Frances Trenta (Hartville, Ohio/Lake) recorded 30 digs and Robatisin added 27 digs. Trageser (16) and Galens (14) also reached double figures in digs. Senior Dalaney Algiere (Grasonville, Md./Kent Island) tallied four blocks.

The four-match win streak is Grove City's longest win streak since the Wolverines won five straight matches October 16-28, 2008. The Wolverines' 7-4 record is the program's best after 11 matches since the 2007 team started 10-1.

Grove City returns to Presidents' Athletic Conference action Saturday with a pair of matches at Waynesburg. The Wolverines (1-0 PAC) face Geneva at 1 p.m. before meeting Waynesburg at 3 p.m.
