Wolverines down Waynesburg

GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College volleyball team evened its Presidents' Athletic Conference record at 3-3 Thursday night by earning a 25-8, 25-16, 23-25, 25-11 victory over visiting Waynesburg (5-17, 1-7 PAC) in the Grove City College Arena.

Freshman Hannah Foster (Sugarcreek, Ohio/Garaway) paced Grove City (10-7, 3-3) with nine kills while five other players contributed five kills each: senior Dalaney Algiere (Grasonville, Md./Kent Island), junior Stephanie Althausen (Asheville, N.C./Asheville Christian), junior Libbie Casey (Wheaton, Ill./Wheaton North), freshman LeAnne Disco (Allison Park, Pa./Hampton) and sophomore Rachel Metz (Elma, N.Y./Iroquois).

Junior setter Amy Trageser (Marriottsville, Md./Chapelgate Christian) recorded 29 assists while Foster and fellow freshman Jamie Robatisin (Wexford, Pa./North Allegheny) both served two aces.

Trageser posted 20 digs and senior libero Frances Trenta (Hartville, Ohio/Lake) added 17 digs. Algiere and freshman Ariella Carter (Avon, Ohio/Hearts for Jesus Christ) each had three blocks.

Grove City will travel to Greenville Saturday for a conference tri-match at 1 p.m. The Wolverines meet Westminster at 1 p.m. before facing host Thiel at 3 p.m.
