Wolverines roll to sweep of Chatham

PITTSBURGH, Pa. -- The Grove City College volleyball team snapped its losing streak by rolling to a 25-6, 25-18, 25-11 road victory over Presidents' Athletic Conference foe Chatham Thursday night.

Freshman LeAnne Disco (Allison Park, Pa./Hampton) led the Wolverines (13-15, 6-11 PAC) with eight kills on 10 attempts while fellow freshman Ariella Carter (Avon, Ohio/Hearts for Jesus Christ) posted seven kills on ten attempts and added a team-high three blocks.

Junior setter Amy Trageser (Marriottsville, Md./Chapelgate Christian) posted 15 assists while freshman setter Alicia Van Derhoof (Waterford, Mich./Christian Leadership) added 12 assists. Freshman Sarah Payne (Farmington, N.Y./Victor) led the defense with six digs.

Grove City will conclude its regular season on Saturday when it hosts PAC rival Thiel at 1 p.m. Prior to the match, the Wolverines will honor their two seniors -- libero Frances Trenta (Hartville, Ohio/Uniontown Lake) and middle hitter Dalaney Algiere (Grasonville, Md./Kent Island).
