Wolverines fall in league play

GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College volleyball team dropped to 2-2 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference Wednesday night by dropping a 25-9, 25-20, 25-15 decision to visiting Geneva (14-1, 4-0 PAC) in conference action at the Grove City College Arena.

Senior Libbie Casey (Wheaton, Ill./Wheaton North), sophomore Hannah Foster (Sugarcreek, Ohio/Garaway) and sophomore Jamie Robatisin (Wexford, Pa./North Allegheny) all recorded four kills for Grove City. Freshman setter Allie Schmid (Beaver, Pa./Beaver) tallied eight assists and senior Amy Trageser (Marriottsville, Md./Chapelgate Christian) added six assists.

Robatisin paced the defense with 10 digs while sophomore Beka Russell (North Canton, Ohio/Cuyahoga Valley Christian) added nine digs. Schmid tallied seven digs.

Freshman Laura Buchanan (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin) posted five blocks while Casey had three rejections.

Grove City (4-10 overall) will visit Waynesburg for a conference tri-match Saturday at 11 a.m. The Wolverines face Waynesburg first before meeting Bethany at 1 p.m.
