Behrend tops Wolverines
ERIE, Pa. -- The Grove City College volleyball team dropped a 26-24, 25-22, 22-25, 25-9 decision at Penn State Behrend in non-conference action Monday night at the Junker Center.
Sophomore Jamie Robatisin (Wexford, Pa./North Allegheny) led Grove City (8-12) with 11 kills while senior Natalija Galens (Covert, Mich./Grace Christian) posted 10 kills. Freshman Laura Buchanan (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin) contributed eight kills.
Senior setter Amy Trageser (Marriottsville, Md./Chapelgate Christian) tallied 32 assists.
Sophomore Beka Russell (North Canton, Ohio/Cuyahoga Valley Christian) paced the defense with 22 digs. Trageser and Galens both had 11 digs. Sophomore Ariella Carter (Avon, Ohio/Hearts for Jesus Christ) posted four blocks.
Grove City opens the second half of its Presidents' Athletic Conference schedule Wednesday night by visiting Saint Vincent for a 7 p.m. match.
