September 16, 1998--Senior Liz Sparks (Grove City, PA/Grove City) recorded 20 kills to lead the Grove City College women's volleyball team to a 15-7, 15-1, 15-5 win over visiting Bethany College in the Presidents' Athletic Conference opener for both schools.

Lady Wolverine senior Erin Mayne (Elyria, OH/Elyria) posted 40 assists and junior Nicole Hable (Shoreview, MN/Totino-Grace) registered 17 digs in the sweep.

Grove City, 6-3 overall, travels to Alfred University (NY) for a tournament Friday and Saturday, September 18-19.
