Two Up, Two Down At B-W BEREA, OH, September 11, 1999--The Grove City College women's volleyball team closed its two-day stint at the Baldwin-Wallace Tournament with two wins and two losses, moving its overall record to 4-3. After going 1-1 on Friday, the Lady Wolverines opened Saturday's play with a 6-15, 15-9, 15-6, 17-15 win over Kenyon. Julie Porter (Medina, OH/Highland) led the way with 15 kills. Later, Grove City fell in five games to John Carroll, 10-15, 15-11, 10-15, 15-10, 9-15. Laura Goll (Strongsville, OH/Strongsville) recorded 18 kills and 47 digs for GCC, while Porter posted a team-high 19 kills. Grove City placed sixth at the 12-team tournament. |
