Rock Rolls In Three SLIPPERY ROCK, PA, October 21, 1999--The Grove City College women's volleyball team had a three-match winning streak halted eight miles down the road Thursday, as Division II rival Slippery Rock University prevailed 15-4, 15-9, 15-3. The Lady Wolverines fell to 14-13 overall, while Slippery Rock improved to 12-18. Julie Porter (Medina, OH/Highland) and Sarah Gardner (Mechanicsburg, PA/Mechanicsburg) led GCC with eight kills each, while Katie Summers (Staunton, VA/Grace Christian) finished with seven kills. Cara Denniston (Grove City, PA/Grove City) recorded 28 assists and Laura Goll chipped in with 19 digs. |
