Grove City headed to Ho Jo championship
GROVE CITY, PA, November 17, 2000--Junior forward Livia
Wright (Economy, PA/Ambridge) scored a game-high 16 points on 7-for-7 shooting as the Lady
Wolverines defeated Point Park in the first round of Grove City's Howard Johnson Tip-Off
2000 Tournament.
Grove City advances to Saturday's championship at 3:00 p.m. against Theresa Berg's Walsh
Cavaliers, who defeated Thiel 71-60. Berg, a 1993 GCC grad, is the school's second
all-time leading scorer (1,347 points) and served as an assistant coach under Lady
Wolverine head coach Melissa Lamie.
Senior guard Kristina Dixon (Smethport, PA/Smethport) grabbed a team-best 13 rebounds for
the Lady Wolverines, who led 24-17 at halftime.
